Club Zero began as a simple concept to combat clothing waste – a place to drop off old clothes and fabrics so they can be recycled. I started researching other similar existing concepts, and began moodboarding to find the right brand voice.
As I was exploring what this brand would stand for, I had conversations with peers about turning this concept into a brick-and-mortar store, but what for?
Well, a few things: a place to drop off old clothes for recycling and repurposing, but also as a place to gather like-minded folks through sewing classes. Think the "Paint and Sip" concept, but for sewing, where people can learn to repair their clothes, sign up for fun sewing classes or take advantage of open, public sewing machines.
With the brand and store inspiration soaring, I created a logo and brand mission statement.
Club Zero's mission is to create a communal space where individuals can learn, educate and experiment with clothing while being environmentally concious.
This project was in the running to be my Capstone, and while I didn't choose to move forward with it, the message still stands (and if you're reading this, reduce, reuse, and recycle!).
